We are looking to commence this competition in Sept with the Grand Final being played on the Sunday prior to Presentation Day. GET YOUR ENTRY NAME ON THE NOTICE BOARD FORM.
Due to our Auditor being away over the last two months the AGM has been delayed. The date for this will be confirmed after our meeting this week coming.
Nomination forms for the elected positions are on the noticeboard as you walk into the clubrooms.
It would be good to have all positions filled for this exciting year ahead, so don't hesitate to put your name forward or nominate someone you think should be involved. Please give the form to Paul, or any of the office staff.
I'm sad to advise that Beryl Stacey passed away this week. Beryl served as Ladies Club Captain from 1984 to 1987.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad time. Our flag will be at half mast until Sunday end.
Entries for this event have been very slow in coming in. Entries close this coming Monday 5th Sept. This enables us to make a decision based on minimum entries required in order to hold the event at at least a break even - cost wise. We currently stand at 18 entries and although historically late entries are a norm unless entries pick up this weekend we will be forced to post phone or cancel this years event.
Mark and Marcus have made done amazingly over the past week and half, considering the amount of water that was on the course since our Snow events and week of rain after that. The course is in great condition, This week greens, fairways and surrounds are being cut together with bunker maintenance and they will also be doing some irrigation repairs and machinery maintenance. Marcus is also nearing the end of his Apprenticeship studies. Thanks to Rogers team for the prep work for irrigation repairs.
I would like to thank all members for their support and messages of condolence in the sudden passing of my father on the 20th.
I'm away on a golfing trip this weekend up in the Rangitikei region with a group of lads, so…. enjoy your weekend at our lovely course, repair your divots and pitch marks and get your friends down to play.
Best Regards
Paul
